The Aruba Instant On AP17 is an entry-level outdoor wireless access point designed for small and growing businesses needing reliable Wi-Fi coverage in outdoor or harsh environments such as cafes, patios, small campuses, and light industrial areas.
It supports IEEE 802.11ac Wave 2 technology with 2x2 MU-MIMO. It delivers up to 867 Mbps on the 5 GHz band and up to 300 Mbps on the 2.4 GHz band, enabling stable dual-band wireless connectivity for everyday business applications.
The AP17 is built with an IP55-rated weatherproof enclosure, making it resistant to rain, dust, heat, and cold. It is suitable for outdoor mounting in challenging environmental conditions.
Built-in Smart Mesh capability allows wireless extension of network coverage without additional cabling, making it ideal for expanding Wi-Fi into outdoor or hard-to-wire areas.
The device is managed via Aruba Instant On cloud portal or mobile app, enabling easy setup, configuration, and monitoring without complex networking knowledge.
Supports WPA2/WPA3 security protocols, Enhanced Open (OWE), and per-user guest access isolation to ensure secure connectivity for employees and visitors.
Includes a single Gigabit Ethernet port with PoE (802.3af) support, allowing simplified installation using a single cable for both power and data.
Can be wall or pole mounted and is designed for simple plug-and-play deployment with automatic provisioning via cloud management.
